DEREK RUNDELL

Derek Rundell, born and raised in Birmingham, Michigan, is a successful business leader and serial entrepreneur.

Derek has founded, managed, and sold businesses in the technology, media, and finance industries.  Derek is Managing Director of several venture funds, sits on several boards, and serves as an advisor/investor to numerous startups.  Derek also founded a boutique consulting firm which provides strategic and operational consulting services to individuals, startups, companies, and high net worth families.

Startups are Derek's real passion. In addition to building his own portfolio of tech, media, and unique ventures, he invests in, and mentors, startups and entrepreneurs. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping others succeed.

Rundell received a BS in marketing from the University of Colorado (Boulder) Leeds School of Business. He was awarded a Juris Doctorate from the California Western School of Law where he concentrated on telecommunications law and received the American Jurisprudence Award and the Telecommunications Center Scholarship. (Rundell is not an attorney and has never practiced law.) While completing his accelerated law degree program, Rundell clerked for the San Diego District Attorney's Office in the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement.
